Overview

Unload is a voice journaling app designed to help you express your thoughts freely. We believe your private thoughts should remain private.

Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device:

• Voice recordings are processed on-device using iOS's built-in speech recognition
• Transcribed text is saved only to your device's local storage
• No data is uploaded to our servers or any third-party services

When you delete the app, all your data is permanently removed from your device.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect:

• Your voice recordings
• Your transcribed journal entries
• Your name, email, or any personal information
• Your location
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Device identifiers

Permissions

Unload requests the following permissions:

• Microphone: Required to record your voice. Audio is processed locally and never leaves your device.
• Speech Recognition: Required to convert your voice to text. This uses Apple's on-device speech recognition technology.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings.

Data Backup

If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, your Unload data may be included in your device backup. This backup is encrypted and managed by Apple according to their privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Unload is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
